This school year will be our first “official” school year for our oldest, Sean; he will be starting preschool and today we got the welcome packet of all the goodies we have to get ready for in a month. It brings back so many happy memories of being little and getting so excited for the school year once August was here. I loved picking out my school supplies and organizing my pencil box and backpack (yep I was a nerd LOL)….so it’s fun to start entering this phase with my own children.

I hope the summer has been treating everyone well! I’m writing this as I wait for the refrigerator repair guy to get here as our frig has stopped working. I went to pour the kids milk this morning and it was quite thick, not a good sign! Yuck!

Last weekend, I was a vendor at my first outdoor craft fair, the Woodbury Lakes’ Art Faire. I don’t like doing outdoor shows mainly because I’m not ready to invest in a tent but I was lucky that this venue was supplying very nice tents for members of the HandmadeMN Etsy team so I jumped on that opportunity!
This was only my 2nd craft show with My Little Chickadee Creations (I had a craft business about 10 years ago and had done shows then as well) so I’m still learning… -

My family consists of one punk (my husband, Dan) one anarchist (me) and one little rascal (my toddler, Madog). We live in a tiny little 2 up 2 down in Cornwall which is 5 mins away from 3 beaches.

Today for my Stroll on Etsy, I’m saluting the red, white and blue handmade creations in honor of Memorial Day. I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend and take a moment or two to remember those who fought to protect our country.

I truly can’t believe it’s Memorial Day weekend and June is just around the corner. My husband’s birthday is today so we plan to take our family out for dinner tonight…to a sit down restaurant…something we don’t get to do very often LOL We plan on a low key weekend, maybe a trip to the Minnesota Zoo this week and just spending time as a family.I also wanted to offer a little sale for you all in my Etsy…
